This is a rich-sounding upper intermediate-level oboe made in 2004. Buffet has been making oboes for generations, and this is a very popular model. It is called a Protégé now but was not so named when made.
Brian Charles cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way. This is a perfect upgrade to take someone further in their musical enjoyment.
The grenadilla wood body is in very good condition. No cracks. The finish has slight spotting/discoloration which is aesthetic only.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean, shiny, and excellent condition. It has some new pads and good condition pads throughout.
This oboe features a 3rd octave key, left-hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, Bb resonance key, and both trill keys.
The original hard shell case is in very good condition with average wear.
