The Cabart “74” is an excellent intermediate model oboe made by Loree. This near-mint example was made in 2011 and has a that focused, dark tone, and excellent intonation these oboes are known for.
Brian Charles oiled and play-tested this oboe here in our shop. It needed almost nothing. It’s a perfect upgrade to take someone into college, community orchestra, and beyond.
The beautiful grenadilla wood body is in near-mint condition with no cracks.
The full conservatory silver-plated keywork system is in ultra-clean, shiny, and near-mint condition.
This oboe features a third octave key, left-hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, Bb resonance key, banana key, and both trill keys. It has the classic plateau key on the third finger right hand as do all Cabart 74s.
The original hard shell case with shoulder strap and fitted, shearling-lined case cover are in excellent-plus condition. The original reed case, grease cup, and grenadilla wood tenon caps are included.
