This beautifully flamed black maple Fox 220 bassoon was made in 2000. It was played very infrequently and kept in superb condition by an adult enthusiast.
We went over it from head to toe, and found almost nothing to fix or clean – it was in immaculate condition. It has an excellent seal, and will be perfect for advanced students, doublers, adult enthusiasts, and pro players.
The black maple wood body is in near mint condition with no wear whatsoever. For all intents and purposes, the body and finish are in factory new, showroom condition.
The German system silver plated keywork system is similarly near mint, and has near mint condition pads and bumpers throughout.
This bassoon features the full standard setup for a 220 including French (metal) bell ring, lined wing and small bore of the boot joint, in-line body lock, nickel silver water tubes, rollers for right little finger F and A♭, left little finger E♭ and D♭, right thumb B♭ and F♯, right hand whisper key lock, and high D and high E keys. It also has a crutch assembly installed, and a crutch.
The two original silver Fox bocals are included: a *CVX* #1, and a *CVX* #2, both in near mint condition.
The Fox pro hard shell case and fitted cloth cover are in showroom condition. The original seat strap, neckstrap, and Fox paperwork are included.
