This classic long bore maple Fox 220 bassoon was made in 2012. It was played infrequently by a single owner who moved on to other pursuits.
Brian went over it from head to toe. It has been cleaned, oiled, polished, the pads are in great condition, it has an excellent seal, and will be perfect for advanced students, doublers, adult enthusiasts, and some pro players.
The maple wood body, keys, and finish are in excellent condition with limited wear.
This bassoon features the full standard setup for a Fox 220, German system silver plated keywork, including French (metal) bell ring, lined wing and small bore of the boot joint, in-line body lock, nickel silver water tubes, rollers for right little finger F and A♭, left little finger E♭ and D♭, right thumb B♭ and F♯, right hand whisper key lock, and high D and high E keys. It also has a crutch assembly installed, and a crutch.
The two original silver Fox bocals are included: a *CVX* R2 #2, and a *CVX* R2 #3, both in excellent condition. They both have small silver tarnish spots.
The Fox pro hard shell case and fitted cloth cover are in excellent condition.
