This Fox Renard model 222 bassoon was made in 2009 and kept in excellent condition. It has a rich, warm tone and a singing quality throughout.
We just cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play tested this bassoon here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way. This long bore bassoon is patterned after the pro Fox model II and will be a fine instrument for students, doublers, and adult enthusiasts.
The maple wood body is in very good condition with slight signs of wear as would be expected.
The German system silver plated keywork system has just been cleaned, oiled, and adjusted. It has very good condition pads throughout. Minimal wear from normal playing but no plating loss, nothing damaged.
This bassoon features metal tone hole inserts, lined wing joint, lined small bore on boot, new style in-line body lock, crutch and crutch assembly. It has high D, 4 rollers, and includes a crutch and crutch bracket.
The original Fox C #2 and Fox C #3 bocals are in excellent condition. The original hard shell Fox case has signs of wear outside and is very nice inside. One of the locks is damaged, but the other two locks make this case secure as it is.
