This is a superior Hugo Fox model II in excellent condition. It was made in 2011 and kept in tip top shape throughout its life. It’s a one owner instrument with solid intonation and a beautiful even tone throughout the registers. Worked on by Paul Nordby.
Brian Charles lightly cleaned it, oiled the keywork, and play tested this bassoon. It’s ready to play in every way.
The mountain maple wood body is in very good condition with average nicks and bumps from standard use.
The German system silver keywork system is in excellent condition. All pads and bumpers are in excellent condition.
This bassoon features nickel silver water tube inserts, natural rubber lined wing joint and small boot bore. Right hand rotary style whisper key lock, synthetic ivory bell ring. High D and E, high A bridge to whisper key, rollers for right little finger F and A♭ and rollers for left little finger E♭ and D♭.
The #1*CVX* R2 and #2*CVX* R2 original Fox bocals are in excellent condition. bocal is in excellent condition. The original Fox hard shell case and fitted water-resistant cover are in excellent condition.
