This pro level bassoon was made in 1989 and played professionally. Big, lustrous tone with very good intonation and a soaring upper register.
Brian Charles just cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this bassoon here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way. This is a pro level instrument at a reasonable price and would work well for advanced students, doublers, adult enthusiasts, and pro players.
The maple wood body is in very good condition with no boot rot and no tone hole issues. The original finish has numerous dents and bumps and some wear in the usual spots.
The German system silver-plated keywork system has just been cleaned and oiled. It has average bumps and marks but is not pitted, and has almost no plating loss.
This bassoon features metal tone hole inserts, a lined wing joint, lined small bore on the boot. It has high D, 4 rollers, and a right-hand whisper key lock.
The silver Heckel #2 bocal is in excellent condition. The Bonna case is worn but very serviceable.
