This Gordet oboe was made in Westchester, New York in 1972 and has been a one owner oboe since the 1990’s. It plays with a sweet dark tone and very good intonation. It plays evenly throughout the octaves with an especially rich and resonant lower register.
Brian Charles cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way. This is a perfect upgrade to take someone into college or community orchestra.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition with no cracks.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean condition with wear on some of the touch points, and overall average wear. It has all new pads.
This oboe features left hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, Bb resonance key, banana key, and both trill keys.
The original hard shell case is in excellent condition with average wear as would be expected.
