Description

This Heckel bassoon was made in 1920. It has a gorgeous tenor range and excellent intonation throughout.

Brian Charles just oiled and play tested this bassoon here in our shop.

The maple wood body is in very good condition with no boot rot and a professional refinish that appears to have been done quite a while ago.

The German system silver-plated keywork system has some new pads and good condition pads throughout.

This bassoon features metal tone hole inserts, lined wing joint, lined small bore on boot, body lock, ivory bell ring, crutch and crutch assembly. It has high D and high E, A bridge, 4 rollers, and a right hand whisper key lock.

Three bocals include a pre-war CC #1, post-war CC #2, and a Leitzinger ML #1 in gold. The tubular Wiseman case is in very good condition.
