This bassoon plays like a 6000 series Heckel. A really good 6000. Don’t let the serial number fool you. It was made in 1921 and played professionally. It has spent a good deal of time in European orchestras and is ready for an advanced player to adore.

Brian Charles just cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this bassoon here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way. Some advanced student, doubler, adult enthusiast, or pro player is going to be very, very happy.

The maple wood body is in excellent condition with no boot rot and no tone hole issues. The finish is exquisite and far better than most other bassoons far younger than this one.

The German system silver-plated keywork system has just been cleaned and oiled. It’s gorgeous. It has some new pads and very good condition pads throughout.

This bassoon features silver tone hole inserts, lined wing joint, lined small bore on the boot, high E, right-hand whisper key lock, and 4 rollers.

The Heckel VCD #2 Z bocal is in excellent condition. The BAM integral case with backpack and shoulder straps is in excellent condition.
