A classic older Laubin with even tone, great intonation, and classic response. This oboe was handcrafted at the Laubin shop in New York in 1971.
Brian Charles cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. There is a repaired crack in the top joint as shown in the photo. The repair is old, and stable, and very well done. Perhaps by the Laubin company.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in very good, well used condition. It has some new pads and good condition pads throughout.
This oboe features left hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, banana key, and both trill keys.
The ProTec integral is in very good, used condition.
