This maple German made bassoon is marked Linton, but bears striking similarity to Schreiber bassoons of the 1960’s. It may have been made by Schreiber and it plays like a Schreiber.
This will make an excellent upgrade for an adult enthusiast or young player looking to progress from a school bassoon.
The maple wood body has the original warm brown finish in very good condition. It has various dings and nicks from years of playing, but nothing dramatic.
The keywork is in good condition. It’s oiled, cleaned and nice and shiny. There are 4 rollers
This bassoon comes with high D key, body lock, crutch and bracket.
The silver plated Schreiber F#2 is in good condition. The classic 1960’s rectangular case looks fine, but does have a bit of odor from being stored for a while. We are airing it out, and it may still need additional airing out.
