Description
This AK model Loree oboe was made in 1986. It was originally picked out by Robert Sprenkle at the Loree factory. It plays with a lyrical, sweet tone and excellent intonation.
Brian Charles cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe here in our shop and it’s ready to play.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition with no cracks.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean, shiny, excellent condition. It has just been oiled and has excellent condition pads throughout.
This oboe features a Dutch thumb rest, left-hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, Bb resonance key, banana key, both trill keys and a “Philadelphia D key” which is a second adjusting screw on the low C key that can be adjusted to close the D key when you press the low C key. It makes the D above the staff play more in tune.
The original hard shell case is in good but worn condition with a torn interior lining and a few worn spots on the exterior as shown in the photos. The original Loree screwdriver is included.
