This AK model Loree is in excellent condition and plays with a sweet, lyrical tone. It was made in 1990 and very well kept throughout its career.

The AK designation refers to a slightly modified inner bore of the bell section. In the early 1940’s Loree tried a different bell design for a short while. Some pro players tried a 1940’s bell on a new instrument and found that it helped focus and sweeten the tone. New Loree oboes made with the classic bell design are now known as AK models.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition with no cracks.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean, shiny, excellent condition. It has some new pads and excellent condition pads throughout.
This oboe features left hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, Bb resonance key, banana key, and both trill keys.
The original lozenge shaped hard shell case is in average worn condition with small dents and bumps on the exterior as would be expected. A fitted shearling lined cover is included.
