This classic Loree comes from the 1972 “Golden era” which is still sought after for its gorgeous tone, projection, and stability. It plays evenly throughout the octaves with an especially rich and resonant lower register.
Brian Charles just overhauled this oboe. It has all new pads, all new bumpers, and some new springs. It was fully disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, hand polished, oiled, adjusted, and play tested.
The grenadilla wood body is in very good condition with the usual signs of use. There is a professionally repaired top joint crack with pins from quite some time ago. It has Delrin replacement tone holes on the two trill keys and the first finger, half hole key.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean, shiny, excellent condition with the usual amount of wear, but no faults.
This oboe features third octave key, left hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, Bb resonance key, banana key, and both trill keys.
The original hard shell case is in excellent condition with small dents and bumps on the exterior as would be expected.
