This classic A series Loree from 1941 plays with a sweet dark tone and very good intonation. It plays evenly throughout the octaves with an especially rich and resonant lower register.
Brian Charles cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way.
The grenadilla wood body is in very good condition. There were two bell cracks which have been repaired and the bell ring appears to be a modern one, made of brass/gold.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in very clean, but worn condition. Wear on the touch points, and on other metal surfaces is present and will not affect the playing, or longevity of the oboe. There is no pitting. There are excellent condition pads throughout.
This oboe features left hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, banana key, and both trill keys.
The integral case by ProTec is in near new condition.
