Very unusual – this 222D Fox bassoon was purchased new by an elderly gentleman and literally never used. He’s sad to let it go, but excited for it to make music! It was kept in a humidity and heat controlled environment and needs nothing. It was made in 2013. This is a rare opportunity to fetch a new classic Fox instrument and save about $1,000.
The maple wood body is in new condition, completely unused.
The German system silver plated keywork system is in new condition, completely unused.
This bassoon features silver tone hole inserts, lined wing joint, lined small bore on boot, in-line body lock, synthetic ivory bell ring, left hand plateau key, crutch and crutch assembly. It has high D and 4 rollers (right pinky F and Ab, and left pinky Eb and Db.)
The original Fox silver #C2 and Fox silver #C3 bocals are in new condition, unused. The brand new ProTec integral case is mint.
