This tool can be a great aid in producing a well-balanced reed.<\/p>\n<p>The tongue is engraved with ruled markings to provide accurate measurements of each blade of the bassoon reed.<\/p>\n<p>Many folks use this tool to measure gouged and shaped bassoon cane for balanced thickness before assembling the reed.<\/p>\n<p>The unit is fully adjustable and very stable once set.
