Our standard annual oboe and bassoon service ranges from $160 to $320. The comprehensive annual service, which includes full disassembly and mechanical adjustment, ranges from $280 to $640. Parts such as pads or corks are billed separately.
Our standard service includes exterior hand cleaning, keywork oiling, and inspection and adjustment of pads, corks, and tenon corks, followed by a full play-test. The comprehensive service adds interior cleaning, full rod and keywork disassembly, and includes some small parts replacement.
We recommend an annual service once per year for all instruments. Student instruments that are played daily often benefit from more frequent attention. Regular maintenance prevents small issues from becoming expensive repairs.
