Appraisals by Email

In many cases, an accurate appraisal can be completed using photographs and information sent by email. This is often the fastest and most convenient option.

How it Works

Send us an email containing the following information:

Instrument Details

• Brand or maker
• Model (if known)
• Serial number
• Approximate age

If some details are unknown, simply provide as much information as you can.

Special Features

Describe any notable elements such as:

• Extra keys
• Special keywork
• Engravings or inscriptions
• Previous damage or repairs

For bassoon bocals, please include the maker, model number(s), and metal type if known.

Case Information

If possible, include the brand of the case and case cover.

Required Photos

Please include:

• A clear photo of the serial number
• A clear photo of the entire instrument in its case, fully visible against a plain background
• Photos of bocals and important accessories

Additional photos are always welcome and often helpful.
