This pre-owned Rigoutat RIEC model is a first choice for the developing oboist. Made in the 1990’s, it offers full keywork, including third octave key, and a warm, focused tone with solid intonation – a beautiful sounding French made instrument. Personally cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested by Brian Charles in our Kingston workshop, this oboe is fully prepared for performance. It will be play-tested and carefully adjusted once more just prior to shipment for trial, ensuring it arrives in optimal condition.

Condition

Body: The grenadilla wood body is in excellent overall condition with average, expected wear. No cracks.
Keywork: The full conservatory, full plateau silver-plated keywork is clean, freshly oiled and in excellent mechanical condition. It features every professional level key including the third octave key. The instrument has been fully adjusted, with some new pads and excellent pads throughout. It has just been bore oiled, key oiled, and carefully play-tested.
