This pre-owned top of the line Howarth XL model is in near mint condition. It offers a big sound, with classical projection. The larger bore, and specially designed wall thickness creates a warm, rich palette of sounds with solid intonation. Personally cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested by Brian Charles in our Kingston workshop, this oboe is fully prepared for performance. It will be play-tested and carefully adjusted once more just prior to shipment for trial, ensuring it arrives in optimal condition.

Condition

Body: The grenadilla wood body is in excellent overall condition, showing almost no wear.
Keywork: The full conservatory, full plateau silver-plated keywork is exceptionally clean, bright, and in fully oiled, adjusted, and quick mechanical condition. The instrument has been fully adjusted, with excellent pads throughout. It has just been bore oiled, key oiled, and carefully play-tested.
