This pre-owned Fox model IV bassoon was made in 1998 and offers a unique combination of playability, practicality, and durability. Often used by professionals for outdoor performances, the Fox Model IV is a long bore bassoon made from durable polypropylene. This instrument is a great choice for anyone looking for an enduring, high-quality bassoon. Personally cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested by Brian Charles in our Kingston workshop, this bassoon is fully prepared for performance. It will be play-tested and carefully adjusted once more just prior to shipment for trial, ensuring it arrives in optimal condition.

Body

The polypropylene body is in very good condition, showing light, expected wear.

Keywork

The German system keywork has fewer than average signs of use and is in excellent mechanical condition. The instrument has been fully adjusted, with some new pads and excellent pads throughout. It has just been adjusted, key oiled, and carefully play-tested.
