Description
The Fox model 201 is relatively light and fits comfortably in players hands. It is designed for principal bassoonists who prefer flexibility and sonority in the upper register. It favors the middle and upper partials tonally and is highly responsive. It lends itself well to expressive performances. Models 201 and the discontinued 101 are acoustically identical. The difference between them is the ten additional model 101 thumb rollers. This is the Red Maple body version of the 201.
