Description
This German silver Heckel British or flat bend bocal is in new condition. It was used for about 60 days by a professional and kept in mint condition. Even the cork looks unused.
The British Bend has a less pronounced curve, which lowers the reed and allows the bassoon to be held in a lower position. This bend is often favored by tall players, and those using floor pegs, as it can improve posture and reduce strain on the shoulders and arms.
Players find that the British Bend can offer great response in the higher register and help with intonation issues in the middle range, especially when paired with older Heckel bassoons.
