Description
This British oboe, made in the 1960’s, was restored at the Howarth workshop in London in 2017. It’s a “thumb plate” model popular in Europe but the key system is different than the usual “full conservatory, full plateau” American system. This instrument will be of interest to those who are used to this system, or interested in trying something new.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you.
Condition:
Body: The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition.
