Temporary Pause on Instrument Trials and Sales

We are temporarily unable to send instruments for trial or purchase while we move our entire shop from New Hampshire to Kingston, New York, just north of New York City. We apologize for the delay in service during this transition.

This near-mint condition model 1492B Selmer oboe is ideal for beginning and developing oboists, particularly for middle school and high school students, due to its durability and ease of maintenance.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you.
Condition:
Body: The durable Resonite body with wood grain finish is in near mint condition. This material provides resistance to temperature fluctuations and humidity, as well as impact.
Keywork: The basic conservatory silver plated key system simplifies fingering techniques for developing players. It has newly designed French arms and creates a fluid, light touch.
Case:
The original hard shell case is in near mint condition.

A new Charles student medium strength reed is included.
