A well kept intermediate level oboe from the famed Laubin company. Laubin is no longer around, but instruments like these are still affordable and produce a sweet, centered tone with excellent intonation. This one appears to be from the early 1980’s.
Brian Charles cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way. This is an excellent upgrade instrument although as a first instrument, this would be stellar.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. There was a tiny crack in the bell, and at the top of the middle joint. They had been stable for years and have just been professionally repaired by Brian Charles and are very hard to even locate.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean, shiny, excellent condition. It has some new pads and excellent condition pads throughout.
This oboe features left hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, banana key, and both trill keys.
It comes with a brand new integral Pro-Tec Max case with exterior pockets and shoulder strap.
