This ebony hardwood plaque has a slightly bellied center with both ends gently pointed for easy insertion between the reed blades.
Wood is much less abrasive on your knife edge, causing less dulling than metal plaques.
The pointed ends allow for easy insertion between the blades. The belly helps to maintain the reed shape as you scrape.
You can use this plaque for oboe, oboe d’Amore or English horn reeds.
