Charles brand tube cane is family farmed in the Var region of France, near St. Tropez on the Mediterranean. It is medium in density and provides a characteristically warm tone, with great projection.
This pro cane is aged a minimum of three years for stability and consistency.
The sizes available are 10 to 10.5mm and 10.5 to 11mm. This indicates the outer circumference of the cane tube and is a handy way to determine how open the tip of the finished reed will be. Use 10 to 10.5mm if you like a more open tip. Use 10.5 to 11mm if you prefer a more closed tip. Although this sounds counter-intuitive, it really does work this way!
