Description
This great mid-level bassoon was made in 1985. This instrument has a robust and compact tone, good intonation and a beautiful upper register.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this bassoon in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you. This instrument is a great example of the much sought after Kohlert instruments from this time period.
Condition:
Body: The maple wood body is in excellent condition with no boot rot, and no tone hole issues.
Keywork: The German system silver plated keywork system is in clean, oiled, and fully adjusted condition. There is moderate wear at some of the touch points. Some pads are new, while the others are in very good condition.
