Description
This classic Loree from 1975 has been a one-owner oboe since the early 80’s. It plays with a sweet and dark tone and solid intonation.
Brian Charles fully overhauled this instrument here in our shop and it’s ready for performance. This oboe embodies the character and balance of the classic C series, with all the expected warmth and projection.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. There is a small, pro repaired crack at the top of the bell.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in excellent condition. The silver has some wear, but no pitting or plating loss. It has all new pads, corks, and bumpers, and is fully oiled and play-tested.
This oboe features left hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, Bb resonance key, banana key, and both trill keys.
A Loree “Dutch” thumb rest and plastic riser are installed but can be removed and replaced with a standard thumb rest if the new owner prefers.
The original Loree lozenge hard shell case is in excellent condition. The classic cloth case cover is worn as might be expected, but in very good condition.
