MCW is the trademark of Mark Chudnow Woodwinds of California. They’ve been making excellent quality oboes for quite a while. Dark, velvety tone with focus and clarity in the sound. This one has a warmer tone than the average Loree with a lot of coloration in the sound.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you.
This instrument will suit an aspiring, advancing player, and be very suitable for doublers and adult enthusiasts.
Condition:
Body: The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition with no cracks.
Keywork: The full conservatory, modified plateau silver-plated keywork system is in excellent condition. The silverwork and pads are in excellent condition as well.
