Description
This precision screwdriver is the right size to adjust double reed instrument screws and screw rods. This 4″ long (102mm) screwdriver fits in your case or case cover.
The blade width of 2mm is small enough for oboes, but meaty enough for the larger bassoon screws you might need to adjust.
The spinning cap on this screwdriver is a great feature. Press your palm onto the cap so that your thumb and pointer finger can reach the knurled part of the screwdriver handle. Then twirl the driver gently and with a controlled motion.
Precision screwdrivers usually work best when there is a small amount of pressure keeping the driver tips engaged with fastener heads. Your palm provides this slight pressure. Because the cap is able to freely spin a full 360°, there is little loss of energy or control due to friction. Additionally, this keeps the screwdriver in place and accurately positioned.
With your palm handling the job of applying gentle pressure to the handle, your finger tips are free to turn the handle with control and finesse.
Made by Moody with a steel handle, and powder coated, long lasting removable screwdriver shaft.
