Description
This French Selmer English horn plays with a big deep resonance, and excellent intonation throughout. Made in approx. 1995. This is a substantial, superior instrument.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you. This instrument is a perfect upgrade or addition for a player of any level.
Condition:
Body: The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. It has no cracks. The three initials “V.M.I” are hand etched on the reverse side of the bell most likely from a school or band.
Keywork: The full conservatory, full plateau silver-plated keywork system is in clean, oiled, and fully adjusted condition. We replaced more than a few pads, many bumpers, and recorked the bocal.

Case:
The original hard shell case and synthetic fitted cover are in very good condition with a old mark on the top reading “VMI” most likely from a school or band.
