This pre-owned French made Cabart English Horn has the rich tone we like, and it’s in great condition. Made in the 1970’s. Personally cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested by Brian Charles in our Kingston workshop, this English horn is fully prepared for performance. It will be play-tested and carefully adjusted once more just prior to shipment for trial, ensuring it arrives in optimal condition.

Body

The grenadilla wood body is in excellent overall condition. A small crack at the top of the middle joint was professionally repaired long ago and is very difficult to detect.

Keywork

The full conservatory, modified plateau silver-plated keywork is clean, bright, and in excellent mechanical condition. The instrument has been fully adjusted, with some new pads and excellent pads throughout. It has just been bore oiled, key oiled, and carefully play-tested.
