Description
This fine Italian instrument was made by Bulgheroni in approximately 1995. It was marked with the standard “Italy” mark and serial number used by Bulgheroni but without the maker markings. It plays with a warm, dark tone and very good intonation. It plays evenly throughout the octaves with an especially rich and resonant lower register.
Brian Charles cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this instrument here in our shop and it’s ready to play. This is a great instrument to consider when adding to your oboe playing.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. There was a repaired crack reported to be under the top joint tenon cork, though we can’t locate it. It must have been tiny and very well repaired.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean, shiny, excellent condition. It has some new pads and excellent condition pads throughout.
This English horn features left hand F, F resonance key, split D, banana key, and both trill keys.
A Loree #1, and a Loree #2 silver bocal are included in a double pouch. The integral case with outer pocket is in excellent condition. A three reed case is included.
