Description
This Fox model 201 is a one owner instrument made in 1993. It’s been played professionally since new, and kept in excellent condition throughout its life. This Fox pro model is a short bore instrument known for being light and for offering flexibility and sonority in the upper register, which lends itself to expressive performances.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this bassoon in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you.
Condition:
Body: The mountain maple wood body is in excellent condition with no issues. It has fewer than average signs of use, and is in lovely condition.
Keywork: The German system silver plated keywork system is in clean, oiled, and fully adjusted condition. The keywork has fewer than average signs of use, and is in excellent condition.

Case:
The semi-oval Fox hard shell case with shoulder strap is in excellent condition. The shoulder strap buckles have some excess material on them as shown in the photo. The Fox case cover has been fitted with velcro closures to keep it joined to the case, yet removable.
