Description

This particular Fox 601 was made in 2002 and has the ringing clarity and deep resonance that makes the 601 a standout orchestral instrument. It’s a thick wall, long bore bassoon which projects a gorgeous tone with flexibility and power.

Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this bassoon in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you. This instrument is perfectly suited for a player who requires the highest level of performance.

Condition:
Body: The mountain maple wood body is in above average condition with no boot rot, no tone hole issues, and original, tiger striped mahogany finish.

Keywork: The German system silver plated keywork system is in clean, oiled, and fully adjusted condition. Some pads are new, while the others are in excellent condition.
