Description
This grenadilla wood Loree bass oboe was made in 1982 and played professionally all its life. Paul Laubin intonated and refined this instrument for stability, rich dark tone, and excellent intonation.
This instrument meets all the needs of the professional player, although advanced enthusiasts would do well to own this as well.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you.
The beautifully grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. No cracks, no issues.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver-plated keywork system is in clean, oiled, excellent condition. It has excellent condition pads throughout.
This low B bass oboe has left hand F, F resonance key, banana key, and both trill keys.
Four silver-plated Loree bocals are included: a #1, two #2’s, and a #3, all with new cork. Five bass oboe reeds and a ProTec padded neck strap are included as well.
The original Loree hard shell case is in excellent condition.
