Description
This classic C model pro oboe, made in 1978, has had a single owner since 1986. It creates a complex, dark tone with excellent intonation, playing evenly across all octaves. The lower register is especially rich and resonant.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you.
Condition:
Body: The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. There is a professionally pinned crack between the trill keys on the upper joint which was repaired in the early 90’s.
Keywork: The full conservatory, full plateau silver-plated keywork system is in clean, oiled, and fully adjusted condition. There is minor plating loss on two of the touch keys. Some pads are new, while the others are in excellent condition.

Case:
The original Loree hard shell case is in excellent condition with small dents and bumps on the exterior. The original Loree cloth cover is in serviceable but worn condition.
