Description

A well maintained, one owner model 23 in excellent+ condition. Made in 1981. Purchased in person in Germany at the factory. Played and maintained regularly. Sale is due to the owners health issues. Puchner verified age and model.

Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this bassoon in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you.

This is a powerful instrument that responds quickly. It has great warmth and complexity in the sound. Brian has played it at length and finds it to be among the very best we’ve had the honor to offer for sale.

Condition:
Body: The curly mountain maple wood body has the classic Puchner dark red finish and is in excellent condition with very little wear at all.

Keywork: The silver plated keywork system is in clean, oiled, and fully adjusted condition. Some pads are new, while the others are in excellent condition.
