Description
This pro model Yamaha is the unlined grenadilla version with a somewhat more open bore configuration. It creates a complex, dark, silky tone with excellent intonation and focused center. It’s especially rich and resonant. It was made in 2010 (est.).
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you. This instrument is suited for a professional or advancing player.
Condition:
Body: The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. It’s the unlined version, with tapered tone holes with hand-cut conical undercutting.
Keywork: The full conservatory, full plateau silver-plated keywork system is in absolutely sparkling clean, oiled, and fully adjusted condition. The pads are like new.

The original hard shell case with fitted leather case cover are in excellent condition. Original tenon caps, reed case, grease pot, and screwdriver are included.
