This model SC-1 oboe was made in Italy in 2000. It’s in gorgeous condition, having been played little and been well cared for. It has a powerful sound with harmonic depth.

Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you. A finely crafted oboe that supports the player beautifully from the beginning student through the advanced intermediate level.

Condition

Body: The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition with no cracks.
Keywork: The full conservatory, silver-plated keywork system has been cleaned, oiled, and fully adjusted. The covered d key and g keys provide a more secure seal of these two tone holes for smaller hands.
