Description
This Lorée Royal ‘cR + 3 – AK’ model oboe is a premium professional instrument of the highest caliber. The AK bore on this instrument is based on the measurements of the renowned original Lorée AK series first produced in the late 1930’s. The AK bore has a narrower top and more flared bell than a standard conical bore which produces a focused sound with a dark tone. When combined with the thicker wall of the Royal model it creates excellent tone projection.
This instrument was made in 2014 and has been a one owner instrument serviced diligently by Carlos Coelho.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you. This is a prime example of the top of the line model of Loree oboe.
Condition:
Body: The grenadilla wood body is in near mint condition with no cracks. The Royal model has slightly thicker bore walls and AK bore shape which offers strong projection, and a dark, rich full sound with excellent intonation.
Keywork: The heavily silver plated full conservatory, full plateau system is in near mint condition.

Case:
The original Loree lozenge style hard shell case is in excellent condition. The shearling lined fitted case cover is in excellent condition with some slight fraying wear around the edges.
