Description
This is a superb, one-owner Barre oboe bought directly from Laubin in 1971. This instrument plays with a sweet dark tone and very good intonation.
Brian Charles fully cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe here in our shop and it’s ready to play.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. There was a small top joint crack repaired by Paul Laubin in 1992. It’s rather hard to locate and has been stable for decades.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean, shiny, and excellent condition. It has some new pads and excellent condition pads throughout.
This oboe features left-hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, banana key, and both trill keys.
The original hard shell case is in excellent condition. The original plastic end caps are included.
