Description

This Classic German instrument was made in the 1970’s. It plays with a dark tone and good intonation. It was produced by Malerne and finished in the US by the duo of Ben Storch, who later founded Gordet Oboe Company, and Waldemar Bhosys, English hornist of the NY Metropolitan Opera and a maker of double reed tools.

Brian Charles cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe here in our shop and it’s ready to play. This will be a nice oboe for a student or community orchestra oboist.

The grenadilla wood body is in very good condition. There was a small crack at the top of the middle joint which was repaired long ago and appears very stable.

The full conservatory, plateau silver plated keywork system is in clean, shiny, excellent condition. It has many brand new pads and excellent condition pads throughout.

This oboe features left-hand F, F resonance key, and low Bb. It has 2 plateau (solid) keys on the upper joint and on on the right hand, third finger key, which can be advantageous for people with smaller hands, or flexibility issues.

It comes with a brand new Protec Propack integral case.
