Description
This classic French oboe was made in the mid 1960’s. The warm, dark tone and very good intonation make this an excellent choice for an advancing player.
The full overhaul and extensive voicing by esteemed oboe repair tech David Teitelbaum in May 2020 lets this oboe really sing.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this oboe in our shop, ensuring it’s ready for performance. It will be fully play-tested, and adjusted again just before it goes out on trial to you. This is a great upgrade for an advancing oboist and will be a solid choice for a community orchestra player.
The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition. There was a small top joint surface crack. It was professionally repaired long ago and has been stable for decades.
The full conservatory, full plateau silver keywork system is in clean and excellent condition. There are a few new pads and excellent condition pads throughout.
This oboe features left hand F, F resonance key, low Bb, banana key, and both trill keys.
The case is a dark blue, sleek and compact Protec Microzip in near-mint condition
