This late romantic period bassoon by Guntram Wolf of Kronach, Germany is pitched in A=440. It’s a custom-made faithful homage to the period bassoons of Schemmel.
It’s a one-owner instrument made in 2002. It has been used in professional situations including the Handel & Haydn Society in Boston. It’s been kept in excellent condition throughout its life.
Brian Charles has cleaned, oiled, adjusted, and play-tested this bassoon here in our shop. It’s ready to play in every way.
The gorgeous, lightly tiger-striped mountain maple wood body is in near-mint condition with very limited signs of use.
The silver-plated 14-key system is in excellent condition and has just been cleaned and oiled. The white kid leather pads are in near-mint condition.
The two original silver N8 Wolf bocals are in very good condition. Please note: This instrument does not come with a case. It will be shipped with each joint separately wrapped in bubble wrap.
