Description
This classic Fox bassoon was made in 1970. It’s a 2 owner instrument with excellent intonation and a beautiful tone throughout the registers.
Brian Charles just adjusted, and play-tested this bassoon here in our shop and it’s ready to play in every way.
The maple wood body is in very good condition with no boot rot and no tone hole issues. The original Fox finish is in much better than average condition with wear limited to the usual spots.
The German system silver-plated keywork system has just been cleaned and oiled. It has plating wear in the usual touch points.
This bassoon was upgraded with high E, features metal tone hole inserts, lined wing joint, lined small bore on boot, body lock, high D and high E, 4 rollers, and a right hand whisper key lock.
The Fox CVX #3 bocal and Heckel CC #1 bocal are in excellent condition. The Heckel has a ding as shown in the photos. The Marcus Bonna case with backpack straps shows signs of use but is very serviceable with all working zippers and parts.
